Description

Weighing in at much less than a wheeled bag but packing in the same body foam and material the Rhino surfboard travel bag is perfect to have in your corner as you step into the ring with  the airline check in attendant. This bag has 10mm foam protection designed for airline travel. Large exterior pockets with drainage will keep the crust off your boardshorts and the smile on your face. A sewn in divider provides the perfect separation to keep wax from switching boards. Need a place for your stash?  Throw it in the secret pull out "storage" pocket. Don't worry about salted zips on this bag; super beefcake molded non-corrosive zippers will keep the movement smooth for the life of the bag.

This bag will fit 1-2 boards up to around 23" wide by 3" thick. Slightly wider boards can fit if the overall thickness/volume is less. Even wider/thicker boards will fit if you are only taking one board.

Good bag with design flaw

"Just got back from a Indo trip where my Rino travel bag got put to the test with 6 different flights. The bag did a good job protecting the boards. But there if a design flaw. The upper pocket that hold the shoulder strap Velcro pulls open when the bag is lifted by the handle. Then the inside of the bag rips for lack of support. Not sure why they would attach the bag handle to that part of the bag? Very annoying when the bag pocket opens when lifted."

Great work Prolite

"Bought this bag for a trip to Costa, it exceeded expectations!!! Boards all in mint condition after trip! I was able to fit 3 hybrid boards 2 RNF's and a PJ in what is sold as a 2 board bag! Now it's my daily bag that stays loaded in the truck"

The best boardbags in the world

"I just bought a hybrid fish travel bag for my surf trip to Costa Rica. Got some leash’s too. I’ve been buying Pro Lite bags since the beginning back in the 80’s. They were the best then and they are better than ever now. Thanks to the crew at Pro lite"

Access

"Everything about this bag is perfect. It would just be nice to have access to the front of the board bag. Perhaps with some sort of zipper. It’s going to be tough to clean or wipe down if mold overtime, perhaps consider cinch ties over the Velcro locations to keep minimally expanded. Material is strong are sturdy amazing product."

Bag review

"This bag needs more foam-padding on the rails 2X more due to terrible baggage handlers! Also, zipper needs to be longer at least 3/4-lenth for easier access."

Q&A

Will this rhino fish/hybrid/big-short bag fit my single fin pin if it's got an 8.5" fin on it or will I have to take it off. I have the session fish 7'6" and it fits fine with the fin on, but the specs say 7" tall (deep) at the tail end.. Love the longboard rhino i have, looking to replace my session with another rhino, but not if I have to take the fin off every time.
Yes, the rhino bag will easily fit that board with the fin on. However, it is highly recommended to remove the fin before any airline travel.
I have a 7'0 board...Would my board fit in 6.10' Pro-Lite Rhino Double Travel Fish/Hybrid? thanks for answer.
Yes, as long as the other boards are shorter the 7'0 would fit in the 6'10 fine with a little room to spare before touching the gusset.
I have a 7'0 board...Would my board fit in 6.10' Pro-Lite Rhino Double Travel Fish/Hybrid? thanks for answer.
Yes, as long as the board does not have a really wide and rounded nose.
Have there been issues with the 6'10" hybrid having issues with airline requirements of "Surfboards over 115 linear inches are not allowed. "
It would be really rare to have a problem with this bag in all it's sizes. The 6'10 should be fine with the 115 inches rule because the expandable gusset is tapered and not the same height around the whole bag.
I have a 7'4 and my wife has a 7'8. if i pull the fins off will they both fit together in a 7'6 bag?
Both those boards should fit fine in the 7'6 as long as the 7'8 does not have a really wide/rounded nose.
