Description

Weighing in at much less than a wheeled bag but packing in the same body foam and material the longboard Rhino surfboard travel bag is perfect to have in your corner as you step into the ring with  the airline check in attendant. This bag has 10mm foam protection designed for airline travel. Large exterior pockets with drainage will keep the crust off your boardshorts and the smile on your face. A sewn in divider provides the perfect separation to keep wax from switching boards. Need a place for your stash?  Throw it in the secret pull out "storage" pocket. Don't worry about salted zips on this bag; heavy duty molded non-corrosive zippers will keep the movement smooth for the life of the bag.

Up to size 9'6" this bag will fit 1-2 longboards around 24" inches wide by 3" and 1/4 inches thick. Slightly wider boards will fit if they have more tapered rails and less overall volume or you are only taking one board. Size 10'0 and 10'6 will fit slightly wider and thicker boards but the bags are only designed for one board. View those bags here.

Great bag

"Packed an 8'7" and an 8'0" in the 8'6" bag with no problems. It was actually much bigger and I had a lot of extra room to stuff towels and shirts, etc. for padding. I actually put the 8'7" inside this bag while it was also inside its medium-padding day bag. I put the 8'0" inside while it was in a board sock. Plus, I put my fins and some other kit in there as well, no problems at all with room. That said, it was *heavy* because of the weight of my 8'7" and I really should have bought a bag with wheels but the tradeoff there is probably fitting it into a vehicle. This bag fit fine inside a Toyota "Rush" which is basically a CRV. I do recommend the bag, the padding was great but I added pipe insulation to my rails as well as towels etc to keep the pressure off the long top and bottom surfaces while flying on stupid United Airlines. Boards survived, did not break."

Best Board Bag

"Pro-Lite is on top of the game with their board bags. I have the 9’0” and the 9’6” and i have traveled extensively with them. They easily fit 2 boards and gear. I have also fit a little larger boards than the sizing in them. They transport easily and are solid. Also, I have had an incredible amount of board bags over the last 40 plus years of surfing and I value these 2 pro-lites as my best ever!"

Great bag

"A travel light and this is the only bag I found that had enough protection. Works super good without leaving too much space if you wanna go with one board."

Impressive board bag

"I traveled all the way from Key West to Kauai with a 7’6, 2 kite boards, and various other items in this bag. I taped noodles around the rails, nose, and tail of the 7’6 and it made through the airport unscathed. I strongly recommend this board bag! I’ve used other bags in the past and received my board in shambles despite adding noodles and extra layers of protection. If you have a long journey ahead and you want to bring your surf toys along, don’t hesitate with making the purchase."

Q&A

Do you recommend the coffin bag over the rhino for air travel? I will be traveling with two longboards 9’2”.. I have a rhino but it’s an 8’6” and now that I have to purchase another I want to make the correct choose. It looks like they both have similar padding so wondering why I’d spend more money. Thanks!
The rhino bags feature the same 10mm padding as the wheeled bags. If those two boards are standard in width/volume for their size the 9'6 longboard rhino would be a good bag. The wheeled bag would leave a lot of extra room for additional boards/gear.
What is the best travel bad size for one 9’8” log?
The 9'6 Rhino longboard bag will fit a 9'8 board. That would be about the max size for that bag though.
Can I get the dimensions on this bag 7'6" pro lite rhino? length X width X height
That bag measures about 7'9" in length and is 7" deep in the tail and 3 inches deep in the nose when fully expanded in the gusset.
Does the 9'6" have a fin slot?
Yes, the 8'6 size and up longboard rhino bags all have a finslot.
I have a 9.0 - 25 wide, 4 inch thick longboard. Will the 9.0 long board Rhino fit if I only will travel with 1 board?
Yes, that bag would fit that board by itself.
