Reviews

rad

"Awesome bag. Had to get a smaller travel bag as American Airlines suck with their restrictions. I took this bag with 2 boards and four fin set ups and had a tonne of room and it fits within the 115 linear inches restriction for American Airlines rules. Two thumbs up from me!"

Smart Updates. Still Great Quality.

"Some smart updates to this bag. New grab handles on the top of the bag and internal accessary attachment, are small but great improvements. Same great build quality as always!"

The no worries bag

"The finless coffin has safely and securely carried my boards across Canada, across the US, across the South Pacific without any problems. Other manufacturers have not been as reliable. The new addition of the inflatable rail guards makes packing even easier. Bombproof. Well built. Worth the money."

Patrick B. (5/5)

Best Board Bag on the Market

"From durability, to practicality, to style, this board bag has it all; I love all of the pockets and hidden compartments for surf accessories. I packet my clothes and three boards in here for a two week trip to Hawaii. I the only thing I would love on this coffin is some wheels for easier transporting!"

So far so good!

"The Bag feels solid and it looks like it will fit a 7' board as promised. There is only one removable padded surfboard divider but i wish there were two so that i could protect three boards. I was surprised the second divider wasn't provided."

Q&A

I have 1 board that is 7’3” x 23” should I get the 7’6” or 7’? I am taking my board either on a roof rack or in a truck bed
The 7'6 would be a better fit. A 7'2 board would be about the max size for the 7'0 bag, the 7'3 would be really close to pressing against the edge of the bag.
I am looking for a board bag for international travel for a couple of boards. My larges is a 7'6 x 22 Halfalong and was wondering what you would suggest.
If you are only taking 2 boards this bag in size 7'6 would work fine. Another good 2 board option would be our Rhino fish/hybrid size 7'6. If you are taking 3-4 boards I would take a look at the finless coffin 7'6 triple/quad bag.
Are the board bags waterproof?
The external material is semi-waterproof. Water will bead up on the surface and roll off, but if exposed for long durations it will absorb into the material, but not into the bag as there is a tarpaulin material underneath.
Would the 7’ bag fit 3 boards in the 5’10-6’3 range that are all 2 3/4 thick?
Yes, those boards would fit fine in that bag. You could also fit those in the 6'6 size as long as they are not all really wide fish style boards in which case the 6'6 deep 3-4 board coffin would be a better fit.
Is this bag used as a day bag? I need to travel and store 2 boards. The storage is a storage container that gets really hot and not temp controlled. It’s not in direct sun but an enclosed storage unit that’s not temp controlled in Hawaii.
This bag is designed for travel. It should be fine in that storage unit if it is out of the sun. If the container is not fully sealed the bag could accumulate some mold in the heat/moisture, but the structural integrity of the bag will be fine if kept out of the direct sun full time.
