Description

1+1=3: The Smuggler Series surfboard travel bag is the perfect chance to save some money on your next trip. This bag was designed to hold 3 boards, but only show 2 when opened for that pre-flight check. A false bottom allows one board to always be hidden either way the bag is opened. This bag features a 600 Denier Poly material, 10mm AIR-LITE foam for added protection and molded #10 PK non-corrosive zippers to keep them from salting up.

Reviews

6’6 smuggler (2+1)

"Super happy with the 6’6 size, 3 regular shortboards. It already flew Hawaiian 🌺 really easy to carry one hand with that diagonal grip. Padded just right, no need those foam rail guards"

Jeffrey C. (5/5)

Great bag but careful pulling boards out

"Well designed back an compact for fitting 3 boards. One issue is that pulling out the bottom boards can lead to the nose putting a pressure ding on the bottom of the other board."

Austin (4/5)

Stoked but concerned

"Bag overall seems high quality. Bought it for an Indo trip. Top and bottom are well padded with the 10mm foam but there is no protection for the rails of the surf board which isn’t a huge deal IF you have room to wrap your rails with foam before loading but one of my 3 boards is as wide as the bag and I definitely won’t be able to add protection to the rails. I’m betting money the airline will ding the rail on that board as a result. I don’t understand why they didn’t add any foam protection for the rails as I feel that is the easiest/most likely part of the board to properly smash while moving it around. Overall still seems like a great bag and I’m happy I chose it but I am curious what condition the boards will be in upon arrival"

Seems to work great

"Haven’t traveled with it yet, but it packs well and seems to work as designed. Traveling to Hawaii and have heard horror stories about how boards arrive after traveling as checked baggage but I have high goes for this one. Wil be traveling with a 6’1 and 6’2 and both fit very well in the bag and will allow for additional packing material to protect. Maybe I’ll write back with an update after the trip is said and done. If I’m not mad or discouraged enough to come back and update this, then it worked great!"

Great Bag

"Protects your stick from the airport man. Those jokers just threw our boards around Willy nilly and I was holding my breath the entire flight. Needless to say pro lite had us covered. Just throw some pipe insulators around the rail and ur golden. These guys did a great job designing this bag. Tons of pockets to put ur stuff. Definitely recommend."

Always the best bags!

"I’m writing this review as I have just landed in Costa Rica. I witnessed a flight person literally throw my board bag off the truck onto the ground before loading and thought. Oh f**k! This board bag is gonna take a beating. Lone behold boards made it, we’re fired it, it’s on!! Thanks pro-lite! Shoutout to Hendo for being the best rep out there also!!! Cheers boys!!!!"

Works like magic

"Used to travel with 2 boards and had enough extra room for a wetsuit leashes, fins and accessories. Love the option to sneak in a 3rd board if needed."

Q&A

I have a fish thats 20 1/4 wide. really was hoping to get the 6'0 bag instead of the hybrid 6'6 bag, can I make that work or do I need togo for the larger smuggler bag?
That board will fit fine in the regular smuggler bag.
Do you have any plans to release a 7'6" length? I want it very much.
We currently do not have any plans to release a 7'6 size smuggler.
All 3 of my boards are under 20" wide, but they are all 2 11/16 thick. Since its only 1/16th bigger than recommended would all 3 boards still fit fine or would i need to do the fish/hybrid bag for this small change?
Because all the boards are under 20" wide you should be fine with this regular shortboard template bag.
